I wanted to thank you and your staff for doing such a great job! I have watched you and the other instructors interact with the kids and I am impressed by the fact that no one ever talks down to them. I can see a difference in Rachel's confidence since she started with Kicksmart and she has so much fun in the classes.

Thank you again for the celebration yesterday, and for all of your dedication and work with Julia and her fellow students. As you pointed out yesterday in your opening words, self-confidence is a huge issue for everyone; but especially for children at Julia's age and stage of development. Thank you for designing and overseeing a program that is such a positive part of her life.

"I wanted to pass along to you that our Champion said on the way to class today that he thinks he's figured out what he wants to do. He seemed very pleased and excited when he said "Mom, I think I want to be a Sensei!" So of course I said I thought that was a great idea. I asked him what it was about this that he liked and he said........ “Well I love what we're doing and I love working with the younger kids!” The significance of this conversation is pretty big for him. He's really been struggling to see a future role for himself. He knows he's in Special Ed and I think it's been hard for him to identify jobs that sound interesting to him that he could see himself doing. Of course we don't know and he doesn't know what kinds of things he will be able to do ultimately but it is so moving for us to hear his enthusiasm and excitement. AND it is so great for him to have a sense today of a future that has meaning for him and that he can imagine, even if like the rest of us, that vision changes over time.

So thanks for all that you and your team are doing with him............. truly!!"
